A New Year’s Celebration That Lit Up St. George’s

We closed out the year in the best way possible — with a drone show for the annual New Year’s Onion Drop, hosted by the Corporation of St. George’s. It was the perfect way to welcome 2026 and bring something fresh and exciting to one of Bermuda’s most iconic year‑end traditions.

Hundreds of people filled St. George’s Square to ring in the new year, and the crowd’s energy made the night unforgettable. As the countdown approached, our drones lifted into the sky, creating a series of celebratory formations that set the tone for the year ahead.

This was the first‑ever drone show in St. George’s, and the team was thrilled to be part of such a milestone moment. The response was incredible — social media lit up with videos and photos as people shared their view of the show from every angle.

Even those who weren’t in the square got to enjoy the moment. The formations were visible from a distance, allowing people across the area to capture the night and feel part of the celebration.

You can watch the full show on Bernews, which captured the entire display from start to finish.

A new year, a new tradition, and a sky full of light — the perfect start to 2026.
